Nollywood star, Emeka Ike, has given his ideas on love and marriage, insisting that partnerships should not be seen as a chance to get anything.

Love and marriage are not a “scam” by nature, the actor claimed in a recent interview.

Problems emerge, he said, when people engage into partnerships only for financial or material gain from their partners.

Some people go into relationships because of what they can get and not because they love the other person, a situation Emeka Ike says defeats the real purpose of love.

“Love must be preserved sacred, it is the foundation of every healthy relationship,” he said, warning Nigerians not to make romantic relationships transactional.

In part his words: …

“Love and marriage isn’t a scam, but when you use relationships as meal tickets, that makes it one. Love and marriage is beautiful But when you’re liking a man for an end, or you’re liking a woman for anything, that’s where it becomes a scam. There are many girls who are getting into relationships because of what they want to receive or collect from the man. “They must go and do bambala instead of using relationships. Love is meant to be holy. Love is the foundation. It is as if a pillar of every healthy connection. \”Let’s not mess this up in Nigeria.\”
