Dennis Nana Dwamena (born August 18, 1993), popularly known as KiDi, is a Ghanaian highlife and afrobeat singer-songwriter. He’s contracted to Lynx Entertainment and is recognized for his smash track Odo. The remix has the Nigerian superstars Mayorkun and Davido and is getting enormous exposure across Africa.

KiDi was born Dennis Nana Dwamena on August 18, 1993 in Accra, Ghana to Gerald and Beatrice Thompson. He had his basic school education at St. Anthony’s School, Accra and thereafter attended Accra Academy for his Senior High School education. He subsequently moved on to the University of Ghana Legon where he graduated in 2016 with a degree in Economics and Information studies.

KiDi’s enthusiasm for music saw him performing on several ‘Moonlight Café’ platforms, a production that supports underground artistes and allows them a platform to display their abilities, while studying Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana. He also did covers of popular tunes. KiDi took a leap of faith by entering the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015. He later won the tournament and was recruited to Lynx Entertainment. KiDi became popular in 2017 with the release of ‘Say You Love Me’, a song he wrote, orchestrated and produced. With the release of another chart smash named “Odo” in July 2017, and the remix featuring Mayorkun and Davido in December 2017, KiDi became one of the fastest emerging artists in Ghana.
