Tiwa Savage was born in Isale-Eko, Lagos State, Nigeria, and she spent her childhood experience in the city of Lagos before she relocated to London when she was just 11 years of age.

Music Career
Tiwa Savage began her career in music at the age of 16, which included her vocals on songs by Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli and Ms. Dynamite.
She participated in the UK version of The X Factor to back her passion and ended up in the final 24 but landed the 12th spot to be eliminated in the TV talent show.
In 2009, she signed her first publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The arrangement landed her a writing gig with the likes of Babyface, Kat Deluna, Fantasia, Monica and Mya.
She returned to Nigeria to continue her music career, and her homecoming was greeted by a recording contract with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
