Apostle Joshua Selman Nimmak was born June 25, 1980 in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. He grew up in a Christian environment and was brought up with a spiritual background. As a boy Joshua had a deep love for God and a remarkable desire for Bible studies. He attended primary and secondary schools in Zaria and did well academically.

After completing his secondary school education, Joshua proceeded to do his higher education at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria. He has studied Chemistry, and got a Bachelors degree. In all his scholastic pursuits however, his passion for God and service never diminished.
